Dr. Madelyn Lawrence earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, where she also played on the women’s volleyball team. She went on to receive her doctor of dental surgery degree (DDS) from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where she was actively involved in leadership and wellness initiatives, including serving as Health and Wellness Chair for her class.

Dr. Lawrence is dedicated to creating a comfortable and positive dental experience for every patient she meets. She is especially passionate about helping patients feel at ease in the dental chair and making oral health a manageable part of their everyday lives. In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as a board member on the Virginia Dental Association Foundation Board and as a member of the Delta Dental of Virginia Dental Network Advisory Task Force. Through these roles, she continues to support initiatives that expand access to dental care and organize events that provide underserved communities with free dental treatment.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lawrence enjoys staying active, attending Broadway shows, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Some fun facts about Dr. Lawrence includes: she played Division II Volleyball, she still has two baby teeth, she has seen 24 Broadway shows, and she loves thrifting and finding little trinkets!
